Today's Music for the Month of Halloween installment is the main theme for 'Chopping Mall', a 1986 slasher movie about high-tech mall security robots which malfunction and thus proceed to hunt down and exterminate a group of expectantly foolish teenagers partaking in an after hours party in the shopping center. My thoughts on the movie aside, I really dig this score; all sorts of funk-synth madness can be heard here, and overall it's just a downright fun, menacing piece of music.
For those who might be interested, Cirino seems to specialize in composing music for the horror genre, and imbd lists a total of 68 such works to his name. Nice, I guess. If 'Chopping Mall' is any sort of benchmark, perhaps you should skip the movie and listen to the soundtrack instead.
